Javier Béjar

Javier Béjar obtained a B.Sc. and a PhD in Computer Science from UPC in 1990 and 1995, respectively, and is associate professor in the Software department. His research interests are in the areas of automatic data analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques applied to the construction of knowledge bases in real domains. He developed, for his Ph.D. thesis, algorithms for unsupervised machine learning (conceptual clustering). He also works in the area of autonomous agents for electronic commerce. [bejar@lsi.upc.edu]
